Before you arrive
Getting there, snow clearing and road barrier
The road is cleared of snow all the way down to the cabin, but this is only guaranteed if you book at least five working days before arrival. The road is always cleared to the first shared parking area, about 100 metres from the cabin.
On your first arrival, call the owner on +47 41 33 98 03 to open the road barrier.
During your stay, and whenever you drive in or out, use the phone in the charging station in the kitchen. Call with it on your way in towards the barrier. On your way out, just drive slowly all the way up to the barrier.
Important: Remember to put the phone back on its charger when you leave.
Heating and alarm
Heating and the alarm are controlled by the owner through an app, and we always turn the heating on the evening before you arrive, so the cabin is nice and warm when you get there. You can adjust the temperature on the heater and on the bathroom thermostat, but do not turn off the switch or the power.
Parking
There is parking for 2–3 cars in the yard by the cabin. If the road is not cleared all the way down, park in the shared parking area about 100 metres away.
Wi-Fi
The cabin has Wi-Fi. Network: Oldemorstugu. Password: STUGU2000.
Rubbish and recycling
Rubbish and empty bottles and cans can be dropped off and sorted at Vegmannsbu (towards Bergen) or just before Ustaoset (towards Oslo).
Dogs
Dogs are welcome, but must not go on furniture or beds. The dog should lie on the floor or in its own dog bed, and the cabin must be cleaned extra thoroughly before you leave. The owner is allergic to dogs.
Smoking
Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 12 noon.
Bed linen and cleaning
Bring your own bed linen and towels. Clean the cabin before you leave.
